Allow us to introduce “Boe”, he is a 1 year
old Stephen’s Cur Hound that has been calling Woods Humane
Society his home since March. Boe is up to date on his
vaccinations, neutered, and micro chipped. He joined our
shelter’s adoption program by his previous owners not being
able to care for him any longer. However, his previous
owners have left their contact information at the shelter
should anyone be interested in learning more about Boe. Boe
was brought into the shelter due to chasing cows. He is an
amazing little hound that loves the company of people, other
dogs, and adores attention from children. Boe was raised on
a large property with a cat and pig. The only problem Boe had
with the pig was when the pig bit him. He is crate trained
and house broken and would do well in a home that would allow
him to live both indoor and outdoor. Boe is not an escape
artist but being a Stephen’s Cur Hound he does require
exercise. He also is familiar with his basic obedience
commands and rides great in the car. Some places that Boe
like’s to visit is the beach, park, lake, and ranches. Boa
is a really amazing dog that is desperately seeking a new
family who is active, has kids, and will give him lots of
attention. Given the proper placement, this is a highly
trainable breed and with his small size would do extremely
well with agility. We recommend anyone interested in Boe to
take a couple moments and research his breed in order to
better understand what his individual needs will be. If you
or anyone you know is looking for a great dog in a small
package, we implore you to visit Boe out at Woods and spend
some time getting to know him in one of our comfortable get
acquainted rooms.
