Thanks to the hard work of a group of Cal Poly Students led by Jamaica Class, Woods had the opportunity to spend a day at the park with a group of our amazing canines. The event was a fundraising project for Jamaica and her classmates that included a silent auction, dog grooming, obedience demonstrations and benefit BBQ.

The event generated much needed funding for our shelter and gave our dogs a wonderful reprieve from the stressful shelter environment. The best part of the event is the fact that three of the dogs we featured ended up finding forever homes through this opportunity to get out of the shelter and into the public eye.

 Our thanks also goes out to the young men from Sigma Nu for cooking up some absolutely fantastic organic burgers. Over all, this fundraiser helped to generate over $2000 and helped us create more public awareness for the homeless animals currently calling our shelter home.
