Holidays are happy and bustling times when we may be a bit distracted from our pets’ needs. Remember to keep possibly harmful decorations out of reach of your pet.

Halloween

It is good to maintain a close watch over your pets on Halloween. If you are greeting Trick-or-Treaters, pay close attention to where your pet is as the door is opening and closing.

Fourth of July and New Year’s Fireworks

Keep all pets securely indoors during firework displays. The loud, abrupt bangs and the danger of exploding fireworks are hazardous to your pet. Pets may try to run away from the sound. If you have an especially sensitive pet, consider staying home with your pet and listening to music or watching a movie with the volume up higher than usual to obscure the outside noise.
