Training Help for New Woods Adopters

Woods New Adopter WORKSHOP

Adding a new dog to your life is a joyous occasion but sometimes adopted dogs need a little help adjusting to their new life.

If you have just adopted a dog or puppy from Woods Humane Society, you are invited to take advantage of a free training advice from our Behavior and Training Department for you and your dog.

These sessions provide you with answers you need to make transition for your new dog easier. If you are experiencing specific behavior issues, please contact our Trainer (805) 543-9316 x 24. We can provide assistance for some of the most common behavior challenges for newly adopted dogs such as house training, leash training and jumping.

After speaking with you, our Trainer may invite you to attend a New Adopter Workshop free of charge within the first 30 days of your adoption.

Woods New Adopter Workshops are held in the Woods University Training Room. Space is limited and interested adopters must call ahead to (805) 543-9316 x 24 to request a spot with our Trainer.
