Youth Volunteer Programs

KIDS Can Be HEROeS to Animals in Need!

Woods Humane Society offers community service-oriented kids' volunteer Clubs for Kindergarten through High School! Our programs foster that special child-animal bond and provide kids with the opportunity to learn about, love and help animals in need.

Furry Friends Club - K-4th Grade - Fridays, 4-5:30 beginning Oct. 20

4 Week Session/$60 - REGISTER HERE

Get your warm fuzzy fix, while helping animals in need! Animal Lesson, Enrichent Arts/Crafts & Petting/Socialization/Reading with dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, and/or other companion animals! Light snack included.

Jr. Animal Care Club (After-school or Weekend) - 5th-8th Grade - Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 OR Sundays, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. beginning Sept. 17

4 Week Session/$60 or $15 for drop-ins - REGISTER HERE

Community Service can't get better than this! Care for dogs, cats, rabbits, rats and other companion animals through cleaning, feeding, making treats and toys, and of course petting, walking and socializing. This club also occasionally helps with decorating and setting up Woods Events!

Humane Leaders Club - High School - Fridays, 3:45-5:45 beginning Oct. 20  REGISTER HERE

Share your love for kids AND animals while earning community service hours! Humane Leaders help set up and run our Furry Friends Club for kids, which involves crafting and spending time with Humane Ed animals. It's great for those who wish to explore a career in animal sheltering or education. It's also a great step toward a future role as a Jr. Counselor or Counselor at our Camps!

**Independent Projects**

Need your community service hours NOW? For students who need or want to do community service according to their own schedule (or for those who simply want to help Woods Humane Society and the animals in our care) there are many ways you can make a difference doing an independent Community Service Project.
