Woods Humane Society offers community service-oriented youth volunteer programs for Kindergarten through High School! Read below to sign up for an upcoming program to help animals in need.

Fall 2018 SESSIONS

Wiggle Waggle Event Team

Help us set up, clean up and run our Wiggle Waggle Walk for Woods event on Saturday, October 20th. This is a great way to kick-start your service hour log for the school year. Please sign up ONLINE to secure a spot. Spaces are limited and subject to cancellation.

Ways to earn hours on the Wiggle Waggle Team:

  • Create a fundraising page of your own (or as a team), and ask friends and family to sponsor your Walk. There is no fee for minors to start a fundraising page and you can start this now! (Keep track of your hours on your own.)
  • Prep & Clean Up for the Wiggle Waggle Walk, occurring at Woods Humane SLO on Thursday, Oct. 18 3:30-5:30 and Sunday Oct. 21, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.
  • Volunteering and walking at the Wiggle Waggle Walk on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.
  • Bonus Hours - Lead a bake sale booth at Wiggle Waggle (including baking, packaging and selling cookies, brownies, etc.) as extra fundraising for Woods! (Keep track of your hours on your own.)

 

Animal Advocates - 5th grade - 12th Grade - Wednesdays

Youth Volunteers in 5th-12th grade provide enrichment for dogs and cats and help promote adoption through videos and art work during 1-hour after-school program. Please sign up ONLINE to secure a spot. Spaces are limited and subject to cancellation.

Furry Friends - Kindergarten - 4th Grade - Mondays

Youth Volunteers in K-4th grade help show kindness to animals by making Kong dog treats and toys & reading aloud during Cat Whisperers Reading Time during 1-hour after-school program. (Parents are welcome to stay or drop off). Please sign up ONLINE to secure a spot. Spaces are limited and subject to cancellation.
