Education
Woods Humane Society partners with local elementary schools to give local youth an opportunity to learn about the humane treatment of animals. Topics for discussion include empathy, animal overpopulation, careers in the animal welfare field, the importance of spaying and neutering of companion animals, the issues that shelters face with animal cruelty and operations, responsible pet ownership, bite prevention, and breed specific topics.
