Welcome and thank you for your interest in Woods Humane Society and your desire to help the many homeless animals we care for each year. We are pleased that you have chosen to join our team. We have been serving the Central Coast since 1955, and our longevity Is largely the result of having volunteers like you!

Fund-Raising Volunteers

Objective: To solicit individuals and businesses on behalf of Woods Humane Society

Duties: Make calls to secure appointments, attend committee meetings, participate in donor receptions, and conduct individual team solicitations for major gifts

Qualifications:

1. Must be 16 years of age
2. Must complete a Volunteer Application

Training:

1. Attend a Welcome Orientation
2. Attend a Solicitation Training Workshop

Commitment: Willing to make personal gift to Woods Humane Society and secure major gifts from other individuals or businesses

Supervision: Directly by the Executive Director

Volunteers under 18 years of age

Must have a work permit and a parent/guardian release form on file

Volunteers under 16 years of age

Must have a parent/guardian present to volunteer

Community Service Program

Woods Humane Society welcomes participants with both school and court requested community service hours to join us in helping to provide a premier level of care for the dogs and cats at Woods.
