Woods Humane Society offers community service-oriented youth volunteer programs for First Grade through High School! Read below to sign up for an upcoming program to help animals in need.

Woods SLO - Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Humane Education 2018Mondays, 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.$10 per class
1st Grade and older

Parents may stay or drop off!

Monday, February 4: Cat Whisperers!
Monday, February 11: Dog Toy Makers!
Monday, February 18: Pet Valentine's!
Monday, February 25: Future Vets!

 Please register online in advance. Events are subject to cancellation without refund, and spaces are limited. Scholarships available; email HumaneEd@WoodsHumane.org for information.
 
GUIDELINES:
-- Students must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
-- Please wear closed toe shoes and long pants.
-- This program is not appropriate for those with severe allergies to dogs or cats.

Youth Volunteers in Grade 3 and up will:
Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Daphne Fahsing Spay &
Neuter Clinic
Participate in a Future-Veterinarians activity
Make a cat toy (to keep or donate)
Receive a copy of the book "It's Raining Cats and Cats" by Jeanne Prevost, illustrated by Amelia Hansen
Meet and read aloud to shelter cats
