Be a HERo to Animals in Need!

Woods Humane Society offers community service-oriented youth volunteer programs for First Grade through High School! Read below to sign up for an upcoming program to help animals in need. To hear about upcoming events, sign up for our newsletter!

Spring 2019 SESSIONS

1st Grade - 6th Grade

Mondays, April 8, 15, & 29 (April 22 CANCELLED)
4 p.m. - 5 p.m.
$10 per class

Each event includes interaction with a Woods animal(s), making a craft for the animals, and learning about helping shelter animals!

Space is limited. Please email HumaneEd@WoodsHumane.org to reserve a spot. Events are subject to cancellation without refund, and spaces are limited. Scholarships available; email HumaneEd@WoodsHumane.org for information.

GUIDELINES:
-- Students must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
-- Please wear closed toe shoes and long pants.
-- This program is not appropriate for those with severe allergies to dogs or cats.

Humane Education 2018

9th-12th Grade

Jr. Counselor Training
Mondays April 8, 15, 22, & 29, 3:45-5:15 p.m.
Try out for our summer Jr. Counselor program  by helping at one or more of our youth volunteer events. This is a great way to work toward community service hours or future jobs in the animal, education or childcare industries!

7th - 8th Grade

Save the Date: Critter Crew Training, starting in May (TBA)
Learn to help us care for small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs. We will be forming a crew for the summer for those interested in helping through the summer months!
